Our Story
Vortex Cheer was founded with a simple mission: to bring a fun and enjoyable cheerleading training class to the Southport community.
Our goal is simple: to give children and young people a fun, positive and welcoming place to enjoy cheerleading, learn new skills, build confidence and make lasting friendships!
Today, we train over 130 athletes across multiple squads, competing across the country. But our success isn't measured in trophies alone - it's in the confidence, positivity, and friendships our athletes develop along the way.
With the incredible support from Elsie’s story, we were able to move into our own premises in October 2025, giving our athletes a place to learn, grow and shine. Our forever Vortex Home! Everything we do follows our motto: #ShineForElsie. Every athlete has a place to shine at Vortex.
